Spike Mclarrity practices as a fulltime performance artist and collaborates with other UK based artists as well as artists from all over the world. He has travelled and performed in Germany, Barcelona, Paris/France, Nijmegen in Holland, Switzerland, Philippines, China, Japan, Pakistan as well as all over the UK. In 2019 Spike took part in the first Islamabad arts festival alongside many other international artists from all over the world and was presented with an award for his performance “Behind the mask of white rabbit is a Shaman”.
His most famous alter ego is “Barnes White Rabbit” where Spike was outed in 2016 by the British and world-wide media of the man behind the mask. Though for the last four years, he still performs white rabbit on first of the month where he sits on a wall by the river Thames in South West London welcoming the new month in. He has become the modern symbol of first of the month.
